National Food Authority (NFA) rice is being sold at the Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) outlet in Limay, Bataan at P25 per kilo, close to P20 per kilo as promised by President Marcos, Jr. during the last election.
The KNP was inaugurated by the President last week with key government agencies like the Department of Trade and Industry, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic resources, and Department of Agriculture.
Seventy-seven exhibitors from Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Mountain Province and Davao formed a showcase of basic commodities from foods, fruits and vegetables, bags, shirts and accessories.
President Marcos urged the farmers and suppliers to support the Kadiwa store, to further improve the quality of their products and to attract more clients.
More Kadiwa stores will be put up nationwide, the President said.
